Mixed reasoning, every day
Daily Pattern
Three puzzles a day, from easy to hard. Everyone gets the same set, so you can compare with friends. A new set appears at midnight.
How to play
- Answer the easy, medium and hard puzzle in turn. There is no time limit.
- After each answer you see why the right option is right.
- Finish all three to keep your streak. Copy your result to share it without giving the answers away.
What it trains
A short daily mix of the five puzzle types from our IQ test: patterns, numbers, logic, shapes and analogies. A few minutes of varied reasoning every day is an easy habit to keep.
Like any brain game, it makes you better at this kind of puzzle. There is little evidence that games like this raise IQ itself, so treat it as practice and fun.
Learn the trick
Name the change before you look at the options. Say to yourself what changes from one picture or number to the next, then predict the answer. Only then check the options. Looking at the options first makes the wrong ones feel convincing.
Check one feature at a time. With shapes, look at shape, then shading, then number, then position. With numbers, look at the gaps between them before trying anything clever.
Read the explanation even when you were right. Seeing the rule written down makes it easier to spot the same kind of rule next time.
